Munich:: arrive in Munich/opening welcome dinner at 6 PM.
The tour began today! Thankfully, we
all made it here safely–even some long-lost luggage arrived in time for
tomorrow’s departure.
Most of us spent the morning
resting, on walking tours of the city, or visiting the nearby sites. Within
walking distance we found museums such as the Residenz and theater, the rose
gardens, brew halls, and many churches which are open to visitors (as well as
much more).
We came together as a group late in
the day and were welcomed with a 6 PM dinner. It was a lovely way to reconnect
with the group and enjoy the local brew hall scene. The rain even held off for
us long enough to walk there and back.
Tomorrow afternoon we depart Munich
and head toward Dachau Concentration Camp, followed by a drive to Roggenburg,
our host that evening.
